so you'd rather pick your vehicle around what fits in your garage, than have a remote start? most people will let it warm up anyways.

he goes for the base of the base model, the only option on his current truck are power windows (front ONLY) auto trans, and 4x4 other than that its the most base model you can buy he absolutely hates all the electronics, but im also pretty sure that the new(08+) daks are smaller than the 2nd gens (in height at least) and about the same in width and length so hopefully it will fit in the garage for him

Economy over luxury? Meh, I love my remote start, power and my fuel mileage. Why worry about fuel mileage when its frigid out, anyways. Plus if someone whines about mpgs then why didnt ya buy a smart car, etc? For a V8 4x4 I am still getting 18-22 depending on the situation, not bad IMO.

hey, I was just giving a drawback to a remote start, I have 1 and use it alot, and will use it to warm the truck in winter and cool it in summer... comfort is way more impo'tant to me than MPG's anyway.

I can't imagine it wouldn't fit in the garage, your garage would have to be extremely tiny. Things to look for IMO are the 4.7, rear limited slip, and 3.92 gearing.

our garage is not a real big one (height wise at least) it is a 2 car garage, and i know that my truck with the tow mirrors just BARELY fits in the door opening (maybe 2" of clearance btwn the two sides) it is about 75" tall and 95" or so wide, and then we have a generator and furnace room all the way back in front of where he parks so that limits him to like 230 inches as of now, that could probably be increased a little bit if necessary

and baracis - its not my choice it would be for my dad so its up to him, and YES he would rather buy something that fits in the garage,
