So You Say You Don't Tow Or Haul Much!
And You want a more comfortable and or Stable ride out of your rear leaf spring suspension! Then Take out your Load Helper/ Leveler Leaf from the very bottom of your leaf pack. You know the Leaf thats on the very bottom between your Axle and the leaf Spring pack. I Did and Am Very Happy with the Stable,Softer and less Juddering Sensation when I crossed over RR tracks or Bumps While in a turn. Hope this Helps out Our Truck community

It will smooth out the ride quite a bit. But if you have somewhat heavy payloads in the bed the rear will sag greatly! And i have had mine removed for a while and have since bent and de-arched my leaf pack pretty badly. Not sure if this is from beating on the truck too hard in the desert or lacking an overload spring. Just something to consider...
There is no down fall or anything to worry about. Lots of trucks come from the factory without them. Like the man above said " Unless You Carry heavy Loads "And I mean Heavy" The rest of your spring will not de arch Unless You over stress them, And that takes alot of stress and heat. If you look at your spring pack, You will see 4 leaf's belted in and 1 not. Meaning if you don't carry more than 4000lbs you don't need the extra load helper.

To remove it just unbolt the Ubolts on each side. Then lower the rear end till the springs fully droop, and you should have a little space between the leafs and axle housing. Then IIRC it should just slide out. Then just put everything back together.
