Default What do you guys think about the wheels?

This is a pic of my black 06 QuadCab as it sits on the factory ST steel wheels.

The other is a pic of what I did to one wheel earlier. I used Duplicolor black on the wheel itself and then masked off the cap and painted the Ram's head black also. It'd be easier to tell what it's really going to look like in the ground, but I just put the wheel and cap on while the paint is hardening.

Here's a pic with it on the ground showing both....

Also found out that the guys who put the tires on ruined one of my lugnuts when they put them on with impact wrench. When I tried to screw it back on it started spinning lopsided, pisses me off a little but oh well.

I thought about doing that, but I was a little worried about the paint staying on the plastic. It's basically the look I wanted to start with, black on black, but I couldn't find any black wheels I liked for I price I wanted to pay. I wanted a full blackout pick-up. It's slow going but it'll get there eventually. L

ooks like I'm going to have to get up early tomorrow and start on the other three, which would be easier if I didn't have to do them one by one while the truck is on the jack.

I did the rim and center cap. Looks good, but needs to be redone after a winter. The lugnuts are chrome again because of tire rotations and impact wrenches. It actually looks best IMO with just the lugs in chrome.

make your own jack stands.... a log or a bunch of scrap wood or any SOLID stuff you can find laing around! old rims and tires stacked on eachother work good under the rear axle! be creative! it will save you a ton of time! and paint the centers too....
