if you were to pull the stock intake off, what size hose would fit the throttle body? is it 3 in. or just a little bigger? i want to try ot build my own CAI setup, and just want to start gathering parts.

i was thinking of using some thick rubber hose, like suction hose for a water pump, to try to cut down on the heat, routing it through the hole in the innerfender where the stock air box pulls air, and mounting a filter either behind the bumper or between the fender and innerfener. what do ya think?
