Default Leveling a Dakota

Well, I was finally able to get it done this past weekend. Leveled the truck and it is kinda noticable. Not in the way it handles, just the way it looks. Also got the K&N filter installed yesterday. Bad part is, I haven't driven it since the filter was put in. My son has and mentioned that the truck seems louder. Interesting, to say the least.

Also put some new floormats, forget what brand, to replace the carpeted factory. Only 60k and I had already worn a spot beneath the skinney pedal.

Next: Flowmaster!
Then: Better tires for the upcoming winter weather.

This is a before picture. I don't have any after yet.

Look for hwcurtice@gmail.com in Facebook. There's the only other real picture I have of it, I think.

Hey I am thinking about getting the leveling kit and I was just wondering if you had an alignment done afterwards because some of the instructions I have read suggest that?

I would recommend it, I had an alignment done after installing my leveling kit and it was out of spec.

thanks alot altair you do not know how much stress ive been going through over this whole situation! Tomorrow morning I am going to order the daystar kit simply because I would like to install it myself then I am going to take it to my local garage and have them align it and I would love to get some 32" tires I have seen all kinds of threads on what kind to get and so forth, but I was wondering is 265/75/r16 a 32" diameter or is 275? And not to be a pain but I hear alot of people talking about dayton Mt's where do I get them I heard Pep Boys?

Not sure on the Dayton's but there is an excellent tire size calculator here: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos and some information on what the numbers mean here: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireDimensions.dos Just plug the tire size you're looking at into that calculator, you can also plug in your current size (or whatever else you want) for comparison.
