Default body lift and leveling kit installation quotes

so far I got two quotes from two different shops.....

one said $500 just for the leveling kit because they have to break down the struts and $450 for the body lift, so it'd be $950, what a rip off! that is wayyy too much, I've never heard of it being so much before, the highest I heard was $400

the other shop said $300-$350 for both, sounds best to me! I'll definitely be going with that one cuz idk of any other shops who do it around it and i'm not doing it myself lol plus this shop is closest!

I'd call the $950 shop to let them know they're a bunch of douchebags.

Haha nice!! That's what I'm sayin! I couldn't believe that when they told me that. It's Mumbly's Offroad in Clinton Twp, MI. They are out of their minds thinking a body lift is more to install than a leveling kit. I was looking at the instructions and the body lift has a wayyy longer writeup than the leveling kit. sooo I dunno how they get any business. I only paid $290 for both the 2 kits, there is NO way I'm paying $950 to install it. they must be paying 5 ppl to install it or something, but I'll be paying $300-$350 and just one guy is gonna be working on and that's fine by me!

950 is absolutely insane... My Dodge DEALER installed my TM leveling kit for $120 after I tried it myself and found the strut was crossthreaded from the factory. They quoted me $200 but had to warranty both shocks so part of the labor was covered.

Yea, I agree! I dunno how they get any business. First we asked what the body lift installation charge was and they said $450 then we asked for the leveling kit and it was $500 by itself, that is outrageous. I would definitely NEVER go there! I'd hate to see how much the actual kits cost w/o installation...sheesh.

Wow, that is awesome...I didn't know the Dodge dealer would install that. If the dealer is doing it for that much then wow Idk what that company is thinking!

If the dealer were to install it themselves then would that help out with my warranty like if they did the work themselves? Or would they still try to void parts if something went bad under warranty?

Great description...one of my favorites, and right on. Hey Eric, did you ever get your drop shackles installed? If so, how do you like them?
