You might also look into getting a plug and play interface that will make your job way easier, cleaner, and better sounding. It is probably one of these two that you would need. They can be a little pricey, but well worth skipping the aggrivation you will face if you don't. Good luck.

why not just use the high level inputs on the amp? It's not that difficult to use trailer taps to add a wire off the rear speakers and just run those to the amp...no convertor, no wire tracing.

the problem with highleves iw that he will still have to trace wires... our rear doors have a big molex connector, so your still hunting for the matching wire on the other side...
Also, if you ever plan on going with an aftermarket, the RCA's are already behind the dash,
