I broke the washer at the bottom of the nut that goes on top of the coil. There's enough of the bolt to hold the coil in place but I can't fasten it with a nut since the bolt broke. It seems like it would be pretty hard to get to the cap of this bolt in order to replace it.

What I want to know is whether somebody has a way I can fasten the coil down without trying to get to the cap of the bolt, if somebody has taken that bolt off before and how hard it was, or if I can just go without fastening the coil into place.
I just backed it out of the manifold using a 10 mm socket and ratchet. Once it was loose and spinning around, I gave with a good tug with the claws of my hammer and pulled it straight out.
Replaced it with mopar part # 06509136AA, just screwed it into the intake manifold and snugged it up real good. Replaced the coil pack on the new stud. The new mopar stud doesn't come with a nut, for the coil pack... I just used a homedepot nut and washer on the coil pack.

I know this is an old thread, but someone might be looking for help someday... I have a 2006 Dakota with the 3.7l.
