the other day i crammed 19 gallons in my tank, the pump clicked off at 18.25. and i've gotten down to 10 DTE but thats it. It throws the fuel guage and electronic mileage off a long shot, but it's that extra little bit that keeps me going between fill ups.

I drove 90 miles and the needle moved MAYBE a needle width off the peg. usually a trip home is a quarter tank. So that's how much that extra cramming got me "according to the computer".

Can't do that with ours, when the pump clicks off take it out and put the cap back on. Give it another squeeze you'll be cleaning gas off the side of the truck, lol.

I think Frenchy is filling us full of ****... I have never gotten 450, how the hell you doing that? Are you towing the celica and doubling your miles since two vehicles traveled that distance?

Nah...

I average about 21.7mpg and I don't like tickets for speeding, so I usually only run about 63 on the highways...

When I hit the interstate I cruise at 77mph, and get about 18.9...

But in town, I usually run 3rd or 4th gear, and in third gear cruisin through town I average about 15.6... but 4th gear I average about 17.7...

But 4th gear cruisin won't let me floor it and take off...

ya i have learned that the gauge is definitely off from where the fuel actually is. as i mentioned I have gone past 0dte and been fine. last night I put in 20.6 gallons with a DTE left of 3. I usually just go off the manual gauge. it seems like it can hang down close to E for quite some time before actually needing to fill up.
