Mprohr, I think you're paying too much for your Amsoil, even Series 2000 0w-30 doesn't cost that much for one change plus a good filter. I run Amsoil 5w-30 XL with Napa Gold (Wix) filters and I think it cost me around 65 for my last change plus 4 quarts left over.
You're right. It was in the shop for a busted manifold bolt, and they had the AMS there. I know I got screwed, but for some reason I didn't care that day. It was actually about $90.

I'd almost bet you have lost some power because of the AWD. I mean all the AWD I have come across get power mileage as well...
