Cuban's right about the start up amps for fan high. The SPAL gets it's high and low mode from one fan output. It takes whatever you wire to, the fan low or fan high, then SPALs low it runs at 1/2 of what fan speed you wired to. The SPALs high is 100% of the actual fan speed setting. This would only be unique to a fan like the taurus as aftermarket fans usually only have one speed setting.

So you won't be able to wire in both the fan's high or low speed. It'd have to be one or the other. There's another wire for a duel fan setup but that would only power another fan in combo with a relay.

I'm not sure if you could wire a switch and relay to the high setting with SPAL running power to the low. You'd need an EE to answer that I guess.

Are you guys saying the electric fans take upwards of 60 % of the 136 amp alt. output
How much average HP loss is there from the clutch fan?
