Default Please Help Me

Ok so I have a 2007 Dodge Dakota SLT 4.7L V8. my tire size is 245/70/16. For my birthday my parents are buying me whatever custom stuff I want for my truck. So I would like to put on 33" Nitto Mud Grapplers, with 20" black and chrome rims, and a 3" suspension lift. Can someone tell me if this is possible, and if it is, what specifics do I need to know about how to go about getting the right tire size etc...

Thank you!

Wow your truck is gonna be Badass! That's sweet that yer parents are doin that for you. Check out this truck...he's got 33's and 20" rims...Then he got the 3" PA body lift and 2.5" front leveling kit and he had rubbing and so he had cutting to do. He said the rears fit good, but it was close. He said that with a 3" body lift and 2.5" leveling kit I could fit 33" tires but not to get 12.5" wide because they are a pain to fit lol. He said to try 33" tires, 10" or more narrow and to look for 8" deep wheels w/o the deep offset.

Hope that helps...can't wait to see the finished truck!

So if you have any questions you could always ask on here or go talk to that guy on CarDomain cuz he knows his stuff...I mean look at his truck, its AMAZING!

There's this sweet Dak too...he's got 275/60/20 with 33" terra grapplers and he has the 3" body n 2.5" spacer.

Thanks dude! I think I'll go with those tires cause the Nitto's are a little pricey.

Welcome to DF!

Far as I know there's no 3" suspension lift available. You're going to need a front leveling kit and the body lift like dakkedup mentioned to clear 33's. Rear blocks are optional if you want to keep the raked look, I wouldn't go above 2" without changing the shocks though. If you're a 4x4 I'd look at getting the Trailmaster leveling kit, 4x2 any of them ought to work well.

I've got a Trailmaster leveling kit if you are interested...$60 plus shipping I also have the Performance Accessories 3" Body Lift if you are interested. so PM me if you are...they are both brand new. I bought them off a guy who didn't use them they just got stored away and he never used them. then I bought them and all the parts are there, I just decided not to get the lift or do the leveling kit because I have a 6 year warranty on my truck and haven't even used 3 years yet and don't want the dealer to try and not fix something because of the lift...but yea the parts are all there...they have the minor wear from storage but if you are interested let me know...they also come with directions and the sheets to fill out for the limited lifetime warranty.

Here is a fairly current pic of my truck, tire size of 285/70-17, about a 33" tire that's 11" wide. I have the 2" leveling kit, 2" rear blocks and the 3" PA body lift on it. Some trimming required to fit the tires.
