Default Is a CAI really worth it??

I am wanting to install a K&N CAI on my 05 4x4 QC SL, but just can't decide if it's worth the $300 investment. I would love to hear from anyone who has installed one on their trucks, and is it worth the money? Would you buy one again? Thanks, everyone.

I have one, and I like it and would most likely do it again. The only real changes I have seen are a better throttle response and its no longer quiet. It sounds like a V8 now. Some of the guys think they are overpriced and have just made there own intake tubing while using the same cone filter as the KN Intakes without the additional heat deflector box. I think I paid around 230 NIB/Shipper for mine through an ebayer. I got the 77 Series...

I think you can just build one yourself with a high flow air filter. I believe Eric built his with PVC piping. That's alot cheaper, then buying one.
