This was all overhead speculated...

My overhead is usually spot on... within .3mpg... on average...

It was a 60 mile trip... overhead reset while going slightly uphill... at 63mph...

The pictures are in chronological order... as I drove the mpg's got better...

This is really frustrating.... I can't figure out why this is happening.

Fill the truck to the brim, drive it until the light comes, on, fill it up again and hand calculate. Don't trust the gas gauge a whole lot. My gauge acts differently day to day sometimes, depending on temperature. Sometimes a quarter tank will last 150 miles, sometimes barely 90. But in the end, I always check in at 18-20 MPG, uncorrected for my larger tires. V6 Manual 2WD Short Cab. I basically never fail to hit the sticker ratings.

Also, how are your brakes? A guy at work was getting about 11 with his V8 QC, and his front rim was caked with brake dust. He burned through his pads in 10,000 miles. Turns out it was a sticky caliper. Killed his pads and his MPG.

My mechanic said he checked everything. I guess that means brakes too?

I did drive 100 miles and fill up and do the math once. It came out roughly 12 something.

Unhappy WOW Is all I can Say!!!!

I just filled up my truck as soon as the "Indicator" went on.

Here are the pictures and numbers.

I FILLED the truck up with EXACTLY 17.830 Gallons. Regular gas. I only got 197.5 miles out of the damn thing!

I just reset my HUD and my Odometer.

That really sucks dude! There must be something wrong there. Could be the brake issue. could be bad breathing. dunno, but i feel for you. I get 11mpg pulling my boat @ 70mph!

Default That is weird!!!

My gas gauge usually reads above the quarter mark at 200 miles. Last time I filled, it took 12.5 gallons which equals 16.0 mpg.

I'm liking my truck more and more when I hear stuff like this.

Probably some stupid little thing effecting your truck. Hope you get it figured out.
