So I just took my truck in for service
Took my truck to a local dodge dealership for service since my batteries had gone dead in both of my keyfobs and they needed to be reprogrammed.
Well bought new batteries right before I left and checked the fobs to make sure they were not broken at all. Which neither was.
And guess what they tell me, that both of the keyfobs are broken and will need to be replaced. Then tell me that they have 1 key in stock and it would cost 270 plus program fees. HA! I told them no thanks Ill deal with unlocking in from the door.
So when I got home I had checked the keyfobs again, well what I found was that were you place the battery they had broken the contacts off.
Lets just say im highly pissed off for what they tried pulling to get me to spend over 300 dollars for a damn key!
I ended up paying 42 dollars for them to tell me all this Ooo and wash my truck, which btw they did a horrible job at.
Just thought Id share my horrible experience today with you all.

crappy deal... maybe its time to go get a remote starter or alarm and get a separate fob... pay the 300 and get a great add on option. plus, if you look around hard enough, you can land a killer deal. I know a lot of my friends are dieing for side work right now on installs...
i was also thinking since they broke the tabs maybe i can have a electrican repair the tabs on it. im going to ask my dads friend who is an electrican if its possible he maybe able to solder the tabs back on circuit board. if not than im going with aftermarket. thanks for the ideas.
