Default Box Liner

Will a 2nd gen box liner fit in a 2005? Both are short (5') box.

I wouldn't think so. I've owned both and know that at least the rear wheel wells/tubs are different.

don't want to take over the thread but I have a spray in bedliner for my 2006 dak (crew cab)...but there is no liner over the rails. Are there hard plastic rails I can buy to put on the sides, or do I need to get it 'rhino' lined as well?

I believe our gen is wider than the 2g's which could cause problems for the liner fitment. I can't say I recommend the plastic liners anyway, I had one in my Chevy and they end up scraping a lot of the paint off over time.

Yes, there are plastic rail covers on the market, I have a pair. I have an under the rail plastic bed liner, and then i put the matchign black rail covers on. I always do it like this, because with over the rail liners, a lot of times the sun will warp the over the rail part.

Installing an under the rail liner, and then adding the rail covers prevents this.

I cant remember when I got them, probablly auto anything, but I think it was like $70 for the set. They have been great.

I've got a pair of rail covers that came off my 05 if anyone is interested. Theyre like new with the ribs and no holes.

How much for them? Where are you located at? If they really are $70 for a brand new set, maybe $45 shipped? Oh, and are they for a quad or an ext. cab? I need them for a quad cab.

Mine are for a quad cab. I'd have to check on shipping costs since the box is so long but shoot me a PM if you want to hook something up.
