Default Suburbanite Plow

Anyone seen this? I saw someone mention this in a past thread when I did a search for "dakota plow". Not surprisingly there were only 2 threads that met that criteria.

In any event, the plow is light weight, and designed specifically for those that just want the "me and my plow and my driveway" type people... Obviously not for commercial use, as the Dakota is obviously not well suited for plowing.

I am curious if anyone has an experience with one of these? I was thinking of getting one for my 06 Dakota to plow the lot at my business. Its a small lot, 20 cars and a short driveway.

Given the light weight, yet rugged design and the fact that it is a Western unit it looks like it might do the job. I spend about $1500-$2000 per year on having someone plow now as it is. I could pay for it in less than 2 seasons.

Anyway, here's the details on it: http://www.suburbaniteplows.com/

Looks like it is designed for light trucks and SUV's to do exactly what it is I want to do. I'm not gonna use it commercially and at best might do my short 1 lane driveway at home as well.

Thoughts? Thanks.

For what you're spending to have it done, I'd do something, just not so sure I'd do it with the Dak? Could you justify a 4x4 compact tractor - using it to mow and blow or maybe just push?

Thing is, I'd rather not add another maintenance expense/vehicle to what I already have in the way of mowing plowing, etc...

I'm at my office all the time so its not like I'm gonna be plowing a 2 foot snow fall and beating the crap out of my truck. Since we are here, I figured I can go out and plow as it snows since the vehicle is here. I put 4 miles round trip on my truck a day, IF THAT!!! It's rare that I put more than 3000-5000miles per year on my DD.

its might work i was gonna get one for my truck to do my parents lot that they have and when i was looking i went to a shop that installs plows and they said the truck should be able to do it just fine just might have to take your time with it and not take full width swipes but if you have the v8 it will be fine
