Default How trail worthy is a leveled truck?

I guys first post here!

I was just wondering how trail worthy the front leveling kits are? I'm not looking to do any crazy 4-wheeling, but I need the truck be able to handle the decommissioned fire roads of southwest BC. I don't want to install a leveling kit to find out the CV joints bind when crossing a water bar.

Thanks in advance guys

your cv's wont bind... there are two kinds of kits though, a over the strut lift, which some claim is hard on the upper ball joints (thats what i have) or there is a spring spacer that takes the load off the ball joint but you loose that much articulation... just a choice you have to make, the over the strut kit is the eaisest to install, the other one is a bit of a PITA

I have the rough country leveling kit on the front of my truck and it pushes the driveshafts to angles that I am not completely happy with. This is a 4x4 obviously.

When I was done putting on the leveling kit, but before I put on the sway bar, the front tires drooped so far to where I was not able to turn the tire freely anymore (aka driveshaft bind, I assume).

I want to go to a smaller kit in the future to fix that binding problem, or figure out a way to fix that issue with the lift as I would actually want to go higher, haha!

I'm gonna have to jack up the front of my truck tonight to see if mine bind at all.

when i had mine all apart, i pushed them to every angle i could and they would not bind, however they would come apart if streched to far, but when everything is bolted together, there is no way for them to come apart, thats because the upper balljoint limmits the amount of travel

^ DT. I am going to have to try this too. I have not had the truck in the air with everything bolted up to see if it all spins freely.
