Dunno? I have known three older daks/durangos (1998-1999) that all had the airbag light on. haha. I figured it was always a problem that people got used to.

A similiar condition on Thunderbird Forum is caused by dirty contacts in plug conections under the seats. A good cleaning with contact cleaner usually solves their problem. Just an option to try!
