my roomate has a 99 chrokee limited, with the airbag light on all the time, been likr this for the last 6 or so years, he seem to think that back then they tried to tap acc power to run a relay for off road lights, fliped the switch, and the airbag light came on, i have been all over it looking for fueses with no luck, am i missing something, or did he fry something also there are no codes when checked with obd2 reader

Dunno? I have known three older daks/durangos (1998-1999) that all had the airbag light on. haha. I figured it was always a problem that people got used to.

A similiar condition on Thunderbird Forum is caused by dirty contacts in plug conections under the seats. A good cleaning with contact cleaner usually solves their problem. Just an option to try!
