The retorque is a good idea, and I actually did go back around the bolts after I took it for a drive.

As for conventional vs. synthetic, it doesn't matter to the axle. Once upon a time there was no high-tech $20 a bottle lubricant to pour into truck axles. It's just gears, bearings and shafts. Nothing mysterious.

If it saps a bit more power, so be it. The truck is getting what it always gets, 18-21 depending on the amount of city driving.

One stop light in town doesnt count man... you running a tuner still? Because the best I pulled was 22.5 flat ground running 65 with the tuner.

Every truck is different. 13, 18, 25, 40 MPG, who cares. Save a few bucks and use oil that is perfectly good, or buy some high tech advertising and put the empties on your mantlepiece. It all works the same, it's just about how special you want to feel.

And thanks for namecalling. You are the king of one-upsmanship around here, rather than just offering advice. Did you want the windbreaker or the collectable mug?
