Default Alarm Problem

I have an 05 Dakota quadcab.

Ran into store to get can of dip. Left 14yo daughter in truck(wo keys). She locked doors from inside. Key fobs do not work like everyone elses lol. I unluck with key and alarm goes off. I put key in igition and truck starts but alarm still blaring and lights flashing. I try a couple more times with no luck so I drive truck home. Alaem stops shortly but lights were still flashing. Get Home and open door and horn starts blaring again. Run inside and get tools. Disconnect battery for about 1 minute. After reconnecting, open door and alarm still blaring and lights still flashing. Try a couple morer times with no luck. Finally disconnect battery and have daughter get in truck and close door. Have her start truck and then open door. Finally disarmed.

What happen andhow was I able to still drive with alrm going off and lights flashing?

what you need to do, is start truck, than shut truck off, this will kill the alarm. i need to change the battery in my fob, so thats what i do when the alarm goes off

I tried numerous times to start the truck and turn it off and restart it. The alarm kept blaring and the lights kept flashing. Normally the alarm should shut off when the key is turned to the on position

As for my fob, the battery is not the problem but rather the contacts inside need resoldered. Poor design on the fobs by dodge
