Slick, LB wasn't making a assumption, A observation yes. There are books to help you sell that water to the camel if your interested! We appreciate someone with inside knowledge and ideas. Also we share in the frustration of not having the performance items for our trucks. It will be good if we can get the industry to put out some upgrades we all can share in. Looking forward to reading more posts on your progress in the cage rattleing.
Thats alright no problem, I do understand where your coming from as in keeping a eye out for people coming onto forums and soliciting the members and that being there only reason for coming there, which is not cool and the mods do have to look out for that.. So I kind of got my feathers ruffled and jumped up on my soap box more then I should have, but my whole goal coming here is to get help and to give it the best I can and to get Chrysler off it's *** and support it's customers with suspension lifts and that sort of thing.. I am pumped about Mopar.com because it has been way over do that they have this website and get out of some of the obligations we had with the dealers..
Well update on that 2008 Dakota MX Warrior from Mark Surel, here is what I asked him
Hello Mr Surel if I could have a moment of your time I would appreciate it, my name is Brent I work for Mopar in Centerline. I know you where the designer for the 2008 Dodge Dakota MX Warrior pick up that was at the 2007 Sema show and I wanted to ask you a few questions about the truck if you don't mind, nice job on the truck by the way..
First off did you use a suspension lift or a body lift for the truck and how tall was the lift?
If it was a suspension lift who made it and where can I purchase it?
I enclosed a couple pictures of the truck from the Sema show that the truck had a dark spoke wheels with a chrome accent ring, could you tell me the size of the wheel and who produced it and where I can buy it from?
What brand of tires and size did you have on them dark spoke wheels?
I know in other pictures you guys had some 20" chrome wheels on the truck but when it was displayed in side of the sema show it had them dark spoke wheels and not the Chrome ones, the dark spoke are the ones I liked.. So if you dont mind helping me out with this I would appreciate it.. talk to you soon Brent
His response
The truck had a 4" suspension lift, but we probably should have done a body lift or dropped the diffs, as the halfshaft angles were tearing up the CV joints on the front,
The wheels we used were a one-off custom set that we made up, they were 20X9, you can't purchase them." and we used BFG mud terrain tires on it.
Glad you like the truck.
Mark Surel
Well that did not go as well as I hoped, The truck was all show and no go, on to the next thing at hand finding out who can make some choices on if we will get more accessory's for our trucks, most of this will have to happen after the first of the year because of the holidays but I will keep fighting to see what I can get done.. Thats one thing about Automotive companies to much dam red tape to get things done but like I said I will need to show the bigs wigs how much money there losing by not taking care of there customers with there needs.. This is why I will need all you Dakota owners to chime in so I can show them that you guys have $$$$$ to spend.. Thats it for now talk at you all later.. Cya Slick
