see it depends if your turing your lights on from the dimmer switch or the dome lights themselves, the dimmer switch will make them come on but the domes wont....

find the wire to the door switch and put a "t-tap" on it for the ground, and you will be set

If your wanting them to turn on when each independent door is open, you will need to wire as the diagram shows. The diodes isolate the circuits from each other. You will hook up constant 12volts to your LED's and then hook the ground wire as in the diagram. The diodes cost about a dollar or 2 for a pack.

If you hook up to only one ground wire, the LED's will only come on when you open that door. So let's say you hook up to the driver door wire, your LED's will only come on when you open the driver door and will not work if you open the passenger door. But if you do as the diagram shows, it will work the way you want with each individual door.

There is a stripe on the diode just like in the diagram, be sure to get that correct or the diode will not allow the ground to pass through and the LED's will not work. Diodes are basically a voltage gate and very easy to hook up.
