Default Rear End Howl

So...we dipped below -25C and have been there for a number of days. Since the temp plummeted my Dak has developped an annoying howl as soon as I hit about 1500RPM - more noticeable when coasting in gear.
I have the 6 spd manual, but I can't tell if it's tranny, ds, or diff...anyone else experience this?

never had that problem with mine...

I can't recall the temperature mathematics to convert celcius to fahrenheit, but I've driven mine in -10degree fahrenheit and no howling in mine.
