body lift issue

Default body lift issue

i'm doing a body lift on my brothers 06 dakota and ran into an issue. the front cab mounts up by the rad are giving me hell. the busing on top of the body is spinning and nothing i do can hold it. any advice on how to get that damn bolt out? thanks y'all

This is what I've used both times
Strap Wrenches

If you can get your hands on one of those it works great, just make sure the bushing on top is dry or the bushing will just spin in the strap, the passanger side is a little tighter and harder to get at but it is do-able, this is a two person job, guy on top holds the stap and the guy under the truck uses a wrench or ratchet to lossen the bolt.

well we are just cut the head of the bolt off. we had it jammed over using a pry bar holding the bushing and my impact gun couldn't break it loose, Ingresal Rand titianium series 1/2 impact gun. 750 ft/ lbs in reverse

Impacts don't work well on those bolts, a ratchet with a small snipe (pipe) on the handle I found works the best.

i had the same problem, i just used a small piece or rod and welded it to the top mount... worked for me
