Pulled a Deuce
I'd like to preface this story by saying that I know what I did was stupid, and I understand things could have ended badly for my truck.
I got a call earlier from a friend of mine saying his truck wouldn't start, and he needed me to help him get it going. For anyone else this would be simple, but not for this guy. His truck is an M35 A2 Deuce (for those that aren't familiar with it, it is a 12k pound, 2.5 ton rated 6x6 diesel military truck), so jumping it was out of the question (24v system). To get it started, I had to connect a tow strap to his truck, and pull him down the street so he could pop the clutch and fire it up. It didn't go too well for the first block in 2wd (kept losing traction, since the road had some ice on it), but I put it in 4wd for the second block, and I was able to pull him right up to 20mph and he got it fired up before we had to stop again for a main road. I was shocked I was able to move that darn thing, let alone get it up to a fast enough speed to kick it over. I guess I under-estimated the might of my Dakota

I took a couple pics, but most of them didn't turn out since I had to get really far back to fit both the deuce and my truck in the shot
Here's a shot of the Deuce before we hooked it up.

This one is horrible, but you can see both trucks in the shot. I had to crank the brightness way up, and it's still hard to see the Deuce. I guess that camo really works

Thats cool. Pulling it shouldn't have been too bad on the truck as long as you gradually increased the speed. good thing you didn't have to stop it behind you ! Making it go is one thing, stopping is a whole other story!
Hey Crash thats wild, With a name like crash and pulling that big truck I would say be careful LOL.. Hey I see your down near Saint Clair shores I up near 32mile and 94 near the saint Clair river, we will have to get together some time and compare notes, I figured out what wheels I am getting and I got it narrowed down to two different tires Goodyear Dura track and Bf Goodrich all terrain T/A.. The only thing thats keeping me from making up my mind is the load ratting BFG's are a E load ratting and the goodyear's are C, I figured I might bet better ride out of the C ratted tires..
