Question 2006 quad cab vs 2008 quad cab

Hi am new to this forum and wonder if someone knows if the box on the 2006 is same size as 2008. Also did all the 4.7 engines have 2 plugs per cylinder?

Box/bed on the 2008 Quad cabs are 5.3'. Not sure what they are on the 2006's.

RE the 4.7L's: 2005 - 2007's have one spark plug per cylinder. 2008+'s have 2 spark plugs per cylinder.

Basically everything on the exterior from the rear edge of the front fenders to the rear bumper is the same from 2005-2010. The beds are 100% identical except for the rail-mounted tie down channels, and the plastic bedrail and tailgate caps. There are some changes to the interior on the 2008+ and I think the newer models come with one or two new wheel designs. Other than that the trucks are basically identical except for the engine.

The new 4.7 has roughly 25% more horsepower and slightly more torque than the previous engine. Other changes aside from 2 plugs per cylinder are; New rotating assembly (lightweight crank rods, pistons), new cylinder head and intake manifold configuration, new top end internals (cam/rocker/lifter assembly, etc), new engine management system which allows the truck to get the same mileage as the former version of the 4.7 even with the increased power output, and so on. Supposedly the only thing they carried over from the 05-07 engine was the block.
