I need to replace mine as well, in addition to the power steering lines. I've been putting it off though. The leaks aren't dripping or decreasing the fluid much, just making the lines a little wet.

What pieces of crap these Dakotas are! Who ever heard of transmission lines and power steering lines going bad with a fairly new vehicle. My Buicks and Fords have over 100K with no lines having been replace yet. NEVER DODGE AGAIN FOR ME! Plus the Dealers do not stand behind the product or know how to repair them with out three or four attempts at doing so.

I can't believe that my power steering lines are starting to rust at 27,000 miles on my 06. I'm a firm believer that this will also be my last mopar product.

Aftermarket Tranny and Pwr Strng coolers do the trick. No runs, no drips, no...well you know what I mean.

The reason why I ask is because back in the day car companies use to put inline trans filters along with the normal trans filters.. The thing is since they did away with it our trans fluid does not get most of the contaminates out of the fluid and then you run into problems.. So for a little investment you can save your self a ton of problems, I am going to do this when I have the dealer pull out all my trans fluid and replace it with Mobil 1.. Cya Slick
