Default Fog Lights

So I was out replacing a burned out bulb, again, and found after cleaning off one lens it had been hit at least three time, as evidenced by the cracks.

I crawled back under to see what it would take to replace it. I'm still confused on how to replace it....

Directions? Oh, and what do one of these cost to buy?

Oh and I know, if they get cracked once, it'll happen again....

Are you sure it got hit? The cheap plastic lenses on them have been known to crack from heat, mine did twice and were replaced under warranty after the service rep confirmed there were no marks indicating impact.

Yeah thats sucks when lens get busted out, on my 03 Dakota I had the head lights get cracked and start holding water.. I drive allot of high way miles and stones get thrown up..

I was looking at this after market film that goes on your headlights that is supposed to stop this, but I guess can a film stop a rock at say 55mph???? I dont know but I think I am going to give it a shot when I get time..

Oh yeah when I finally decided to replace both headlights on my 03 Dakota that I sold, I could of made them into a gold fish bowl they had so much water in them LOL .. Cya Slick

The factory lamps are trash. I had three sets replaced under warranty. Now out of warranty I don't know what I'm going to do for a 3rd. party light. Any ideas? Anything has to be better the crap lenses Dodge used. They fracture all the time.

I'm thinking of trying it out this spring. One of my fog lights has a hole through the lens, and the other has a small crack, so I thought I'd get the film cover after I replace them. I'll also probably try the headlight film while I'm at it. I just want to wait for when it isn't so cold and my truck isn't covered in salt and grime

I measured the opening awhile back, I believe a 4" light will fit in there (Disclaimer: If I remembered the measurement wrong I am not to blame for anyone ordering something that didn't fit, I recommend checking my numbers )
