lift kits
for us 3rd gen dakota owners we are limited to the body lift and they leveling kits. i have talked to all the major lift kit manufactures and at one time they said they were gonna do a lift for us then this past summer when i did the rounds again to see what the progress was all said they were not going to do a kit and did not see doing one at any time in the future so we are kinda screwed on that sorry.
I have found a place that sells suspension kits for 00 to 05 but you have to install them I have not been able to find a shop that will do this and am relying on friend to help me with the installation. The web site is
http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/index.html
They are a little spendy and what they have in stock is all they have the factorys are no longer making the parts.

All that website sells are 2" leveling kits and 3" body lift kits.
Dodge has not sold very many 2005+ Dakotas at all, compared to Rams. Last year 10 Rams rolled off the lot for every Dakota. The best year this generation ever had was 2005, and it's been a loss of about 25,000 units a year since.
Even the old-as-dirt Ranger sold 55,000 units last year. (Fleet sales surely had alot to do with it)
And forget about sales compared to F-Series and Silverados.
So, there really isn't a market out there to justify the development costs of a full blown lift kit. Nothing has changed, and I suspect we will never have one.
