Default A Friendly Note to Dodge Design Engineers About The EGR Valve

Thank you for the placement of the EGR valve in the 05. It is nice to know that should one ever go out, you put it in a location that is really easy to replace. I appreciate the forsight.

rainier

Seriously, how has anyone been able to replace it? I can get one of the two mounting bolts out, but not the one in the back. I followed a well written post from here describing the process and that still does not help me get that other bolt out.

It's easy at $100.00 per hour at your dealer of choice!

You need wobbly extensions as well as a swivel. I went wobbly extensions, then swivel, then wobbly expension, then deep well socket. I got it. Took about an hour and a few chioce words, but I got it.

I already lost two sockets and a 6" extension. I have no idea where they go to.
