Shocks should have very little effect on ride height, at most 1/4" going from completely dead/missing shocks to brand new high pressure units.

It is possible, when changing shocks, to see a temporary height increase before the springs settle back down from being at full extension while in the air.

I would definitely expect the problem to be something besides shocks if it is very noticeable to the eye. I am interested to hear what the issue is.

I feel stupid now because there was no problem. There was ice buildup around my wheel well and it made it look smaller so. I cant believe i didnt realise it right away.
