I have the Bosch Fusions in now. They were great to start with but I am concerned that iridium/platinum are really not the best for the 4.7L.

I have been reading a lot about the NGK V-Power plugs for the 4.7. There are two versions, 2262 and the 6987. They both work for the 4.7L so I am not sure which would be best.

I have tried the Autolite 3923's in the past but I have an issue with changing them every 15K because of the temperture being one step colder and tip being so short. 15K seems like a too short of a life span.

Any recommendations or info on the NGK V-Power (or any other for that matter) would be appreciated.

I changed the plugs on my 06 ho at 50000 miles. I put in the bosch ones with 2 electrodes. Ran fine but gas mileage went down noticeably. After reading on here I decided to try the 3922's it was only $14. Gas mileage increased by 1 1/2 or maybe more on the highway. It would appear that it's best to stick with regular copper plugs in these trucks?

Digging this up! So if I do 212 cams with a custom tune among the other mods, should I go hotter or colder than stock? With a 91-93 octane fuel. I'm looking into NGK, they recommended BKR7EIX-11 with my mods, but couldn't hurt to ask more than one person.

Recently replaced the original Champions for NGK Iridiums. 30k on the originals. I was impressed how clean they looked with approximately .045 gap wear. Mileage was terrible before, so they must have been due. Runs great now, with better mileage, and opens up to full throttle with a sweet growl. Cleaned the throttle body while I was in there. BTW NGK plugs come with a .044 gap. This is not to be changed. I checked with them. 4.7 "P" code engine, with factory intake.

My guess is he is talking about the 4.7L V8 Vin designation on the Rams, like ours are N or J depending on which 4.7L we have. And IIRC the Rams with the Ps are Flex Fuel Models with the exception of California, New York, and I cant remember the other states.
