Default polk db651s

today i hooked the front speakers to my alpine deck and all i can say is that they sound worse than my stock speakers. no kind of bass at all. i hope these speakers have a break in period

The Polk db's don't have a ton of bass but if they sound worse I would recheck your wiring. I have the db650's and they are night and day better quality than the stockers. Stock may have had a bit more bass but it was muddy and the highs were muddled too.

X2. i run these speakers for everything i have 8 in one boat and 4 in another even put on friends moped(scooter) and all of them sound clear and great. if you want bass grab a shallow mount sub. thats what i did really is a nice set up. check your wiring out is my guess.

yea i got polk dbs in my dakota and they sound wonderful. im more about clear music instead of bass. those speakers are very crisp mid to high....including the tweets. add a sub and crank the bass on the deck way down and the mhz on the amp up....youll fall in love.
