SC does nothing for the 4.7 HO
Superchip provides the hand held programmer which in turn can have 4 tuning programs on one hand held device:91, 87, towing, & mileage xs. Like I said, 91 (& 87) have good WOT but around town shifting sucks. The mileage xs WOT is great but not bad however its around town driving is firm and aggressive (which kills your MPG and defeats that program's name and intent).
Call SC and ask to speak to Ken Morehead. He's their New Vehicle Acquisitions guy Tell him you've heard that their 4.7H.O tune doesn't work well yet and wondering if they're still fixing it. Maybe if they know no owners will buy it till it's fixed they'll do something

I have tried all the different modes of the Cortex 3950 on my 05 Dakota 4.7 HO. Each of them provides enhancement in performance and/or economy sufficient enough to make the purchase worthwhile.
I do agree, though, that tranny control is a big issue for me and the Cortex does NOT address my needs on selecting shift modifications for towing.
