Default A New Look

I just ordered some OEM parts for the truck...

In Oct 09, I wasn't paying attention at an intersection, and gave a 2010 Subaru a 10 MPH lovetap...Geico paid out $6500 in damage to him! I'll the Dak back in shape for $250. Damn.

I shattered the bumper cover, plastic structure, splash guard, cracked the grill, chipped the hood, and slayed the coolant / wiper fluid bottle.

Right now, some steel strapping and JB weld is keeping her together, but I've had enough. Tonite I ordered:

Coolant bottle
Plastic structure "absorber"
Can of Inferno Red paint
New chrome / black OEM grill

Before and after pics will be posted once it's all installed!

This summer...more scratch / dent repair and maybe a DIY bedliner.

Mechanically she's solid, but I need to make sure the body doesn't start to rot in the NY winters...

Nice man, keep us updated... why not a colored grille? Does it not go with the theme you are keeping, or just you prefer the chrome?

I think the chrome / black is fine. It will look much better than it is now, believe that.

Plus, it was the cheapest...parts for our trucks right now are pretty thin. OEM is astoundingly expensive for color-matched.

I'm definitely going to take my time. I saved as much hardware as possible. The assembly views are easy to pull up. I might have to order a few screws, but she'll go together.

The paint is a summer project...
