Loading a Tune Question

My SC 3865 is sitting here waiting for me to plug it into the truck.
My question is - Should I disconnect/reconnect the battery to reset the computer before loading a tune ? I have a Jet chip in it now that I will remove before plugging the SC tuner in.

since you have the JET in there, I would.

The SC will save the stock tune, and if the JET is changing the fuel curve, it could cause issues with saving the tune.
