I'm glad I went with the controller that came in the box with my Flex-a-Lite. Seems like everyone I know of went with a Spal setup (all with their fans and controllers) have had a problem of one sort or another with them.

The nice thing about the Flex-a-Lite controller is that O'Reilly's carries one for $12 that is the same thing, looks slightly different on the outside, but you pop the cover and it's THE SAME one Flex-a-Lite sends you. I keep a spare, new in the package in my glove box.
But at the same time, you can always wire the fan direct to a switched line in your fusebox and just let it come on and off with the truck in a pinch...

I used the flexalite controller first that came with my fan and thats why i bought the spal controller.
