improving rear speakers in extended cab
I'm in the final stages of getting my budget audio set up finished. Already have aftermarket head unit and sub, now looking at an amp and installing door and rear speakers.
The location of the rear speakers is terrible for me. The pass. side is almost completely blocked by my sub. Also, the rear speakers are not enclosed, they sit free air mounted to a panel behind the trim. Am I wasting my tmie trying to improve them? I really only want mid range coming from the rear.
I would cut holes in the rear door panels and mount them there instead, but the speaker wiring from the cab to the door would be an interesting job. Wiring long enough to allow the doors to open all of the way would be getting caught up in the hinges or in the jamb keeping it from closing properly.
