Question 3rd gen code ?????

hello to everyone out there.i was directed to 3rd gen from the new mem-
bers site. need to decipher a P0001 code that showed on my scanner
hooked up to my 2005 dakota 3.7 auto trans 4x4. does anyone out there
know if that is an actual code # ? scanner is saying it is a fuel volumn
regulator open circuit,????? any ideas? thank you. bilandsam@yahoo.com

I am not sure that's an actual code... what type of scanner do you have? Is you check engine light on? Or why did you choose to read the codes?

can always try and cross reference it with the odometer by shuffling the key from off to on three times it should work I had a low voltage code that came up on the obd reader and the dash so replaced the battery haven't had a problem yet

thanks to both of you.i have a hand held scanner, no chk eng light,purchased wrecked ,precaution before initial road test. truck runs fine.i'll have to check it with the odometer,grear idea. thanks guys.
