Default Wheel nut torque

'07 manual says 130-160 ft lbs. That's a pretty wide range. Is there a more accurate figure?

I never tighten my lugs that much, 140? Wow. 85-90 is perfectly fine. They should never chirp when tightening them or braking them loose. If they chirp or moan, they are too tight.

Default Chirp and moan

These wheels had been installed by the dealer, and when I took them off, all they did was chirp and moan! Wheel nut torque is critical, and I"m surprised at how some of you approach the issue. The service manual available on here, states 135+/-5. Chiltons Manual says 135 ft/lbs.
