Tie rod and ball joint...where to buy?
Ok, I know I need to do some work to the front end of my truck. There is a slight shudder when turning to the right (tie rod i think) and clicking/popping when I go over any bump in the road (ball joint I think).
I have found these parts through rockauto and wanted to make sure that these are what I need...
since the upper ball joint is part of the upper control arm i need to buy a whole new upper control arm???
MOOG Part # K620006
Frt Susp; Upper; Incl. bushing
and here are the tie rod end choices:
AUTO EXTRA Part # AXES3571
Front Outer
MEVOTECH Part # MES3571
{Steering Tie Rod End}
Front Outer
DEEZA Part # CHT618
{Premium Quality}
RWD; Patented Stronger Greaseable Version; Front Outer
RAYBESTOS Part # 4011878
{Professional Grade}
Outer
MOOG Part # ES3571
Frt Strg; Outer
which tie rod should I get? are there better control arms or tie rods that I should be looking at. I would like to get a control arm with a uni-ball versus ball joint so that I don't have to do this again! I would like to get a stronger tie rod end just because of how poorly our OE ones are made.
thanks for all of your help guys!!

I would find OEM equivalent parts the best that you can. I would also try and find as many greaseable parts as possible. I used Moog parts when i worked on my front end, no issues yet just keep them greased every oil change.
Cool! thanks for the tips! looks like I will be getting two new control arms and 2 outer tie rod ends. that will be an interesting install...I am not looking forward to putting the assembly back together with that dang spacer in there.
