Basket Roof rack with Light Bar
So after i get my new tires purchased, the next thing i want to do is put on a roof rack. but not just the bars, i want to also put on the basket style and then put a light bar on the front of it. So i was just wondering if any of you guys have this setup, or one like it. or have any ideas/suggestions for me? its all open for discussion.
here's my roof racks, no lights or basket, but I have considered it. there's a few other pic of brackets and mounting options I seen around the web.

I not sure what baskets your looking at, but I believe for the yakima and Thule ones the bars are 7/8" dia. which you can use as the bars for the lights, instead of putting a light bar ontop of the basket, just using the basket as the bar for the lights to mount to would be just as easy, as long as the lights wires are quick connect for easy removal of the basket if need be.
Not sure on where your going to run the wires for power, (but thats another thing to think about)
I have seen light brackets that mount to the bars on the basket similer to those! not sure who makes them.
or there's this style made by yakima. not sure if they fit other brand baskets.

Something similer to those would be easy enough to make.

Hopefully something there will help out with some ideas!
Let us know what you come up with.
