Default Coolant Levels

Hey there. Proud owner of an '06 Dakota, and had a quick question about coolant levels.

Just today I noticed it's started to run a bit warmer than usual, about at the halfway point. This isn't normal.

Checked the coolant bottle and it's down towards the bottom in the neck. My question is, how much coolant should be in the bottle exactly? Should it be where the "MAX" line is on the bottle?

I keep mine half way in between the min and the max. I check it every oil change. I would go buy yourself coolant checker if you are unsure of the cooling ability of the coolant. Remember if you do not know if the person before you or even factory did it correct check it yourself. You can always do a flush of the system and make sure its done correct. It should be flushed every 50,000 or sooner if the truck is in harsh conditions.
