Engine Block Paint

Engine Block Paint
I purchased a 2005 Dakota V-8 a couple of weeks ago with 8 miles on it, it now has about 400. The more I drive the vehicle, the more I like it. The engine is dripping oil and will be taken to the dealer next week for repair. While under the vehicle looking for the source of the drip, I noticed that the front, lower half of the engine block is rusty in color and does not appear to have been painted. It seems odd to me that a new engine would not be painted at the factory after assembly. I don't think the lower block could have gotten hot enough to burn the paint off. The exhaust manifolds are under a shield, but I can see that they also appear rusty. The vehicle was built in October 2004 and probably has been sitting on the dealer's lot for a few months. Do you think I should be concerned about this?
