Default Hid's For 2009 and up Dakotas

I have researched this all night on this forum, but still not sure on the answer. I have seen that you can run aftermarket Hid's for the 3rd Gen Dakota's, with a relay, but it seems like everyone that has done it has an 05 or 06 Dakota. I have a 09 Big Horn Edition Dakota has anyone with an 09 or up ran hids with the relay set up with out problems? I am looking to install a set this weekend in for headlights and fog lights. Any help would be great, I am just wondering before I get into this project- Thank you guys in advance for your help.

I have a set of the bi-xenon HIDs and a set of normal HIDs in my 08 (basically the same as an 09). With the relay harness, the bi-xenons in the headlights work perfectly. The fog lights work without a harness. Both were purchased from HIDExtra (seller on this site). They ship quickly, and the lights look great.

Just curious but are you sticking these HID's into the stock housings or did you purchase an after market pair?

I dropped mine into the factory headlights. Seems to work well enough.

How bad is the cut off to other vehicles on the road. I had HID's in my grand cherokee with projector headlights and I would still get flashed when I just had my low beams on. I have seen a guy with a F150 in stock housing and its pretty linding at night to look at

It seems to be pretty good. I have yet to be flashed, and the beam seems pretty well focused downward. The fog lights are a whole different matter, but they haven't been an issue yet.
