well, i tried a little expiriment today, hoping to increase milage, i blocked the egr tube from flowing, and to my suprise it did set a code. i have done this on diesels with great luck, no codes and one got 100+ miles more on 30 gallons of fuel, but obviosly these are two totaly different animals, the dak seems to have some way of montering the flow, and i drove about 30 miles and didnt seem to make much of a difference in the milage, maby even a little worse, so my next thought is... i am putting a trans cooler in this weekend and no longer using the cooler in the radiator, i was thinking about getting a second egr tube, cutting it, and routing the egr through the the cooler in the radiator... any thoughts??? or am i just waisting time?

another strange idea... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Flex-...Q5fAccessories

im thinking of using this cooler, run the egr through the 1/2" ports, i also ordered a catch can to put on the pcv, but run the pcv through the 3/8" side and try to cool off all the air going into the intake... guess it cant really hurt anything, might as well try it

I know that the 4.7 does not have to have and egr, do to the fact that mine does not have one. So there is a way to bypass it.
