Gutter Guard Grill write up NO ZIP TIES (pics)
There have been a lot of people doing the Gutter Guard Grille but I believe I have found a better way to install it. Today I spent about 3 hours and a grand total of 4 dollars to make my grill and it looks amazing and I did not use one zip tie. I spent my time to take some pictures along the way so you guys could see exactly how I did it

1. First you need to remove the 10 bolts that hold the grill assembly into place.
2. Then take a slot screw driver and pry the plastic fin assembly from the back of the grill frame

3. Next step is to cut out the fins in the plastic while leaving the outside frame intact (you will see the small little tabs that hold the fins out from the frame.) I used a cut of wheel for speed but if your patient a razor knife will work just as well.

4. After I got the fins cut out I took a razor knife to clean the edges because the may be seen through the mesh.(THE BLACK FRAME WILL BE USED TO HOLD THE MESH IN PLACE)

5. For my 07 I only needed two full pieces of gutter guard.

6. Cut both pieces evenly in half and this will give you your four grill sections.

7. Looking at the black frame you will see the horizontal cross bar dips down into the frame. This was the prefect opportunity to keep everything lined up and tight.

8. Next take a mesh section and line the top or bottom up with that horizontal piece and start marking for the cut outs. ( you have to cut some over sized due to allowing the plastic frame to drop through it so it can still be attached)

9. This is my top left section with my hood release cut out of it as well.

10. After you get all your panels cut around the connective tabs you set them in place and put the black frame over top. It will be a little tough to get it snapped back in but this will keep your mesh from moving around. I just used a slot head screw driver to pop them in.

11. After you get your frame snapped in you can see what extra of the mesh you can trim off. I left some extra because after it’s painted I’m going to silicone the mesh to the black frame to ensure that it doesn’t slide around.
12. When it’s all installed and trimmed flip your grill assembly over and check out the new bling. Haha

13. All that’s left is to install it back on the truck and enjoy your 5 dollars worth of grill.

Once the weather cleans up here (it’s raining and very humid) I’m going to sand down and paint the entire grill satin black to match the rest of my truck. I thought about leaving it chrome but that is the only thing on the entire truck that is chrome and I’m not a big fan of it.
