Default Ball Joint failure

Hi Folks!
Am dealing with ball joint failures in my '05 Dakota.

Just wondering if this is the same situation that Gen 2 Dakotas had that was necessary to issue a recall on them.

Not sure, but it seems really common. Just replaced both lowers on my 05. Truck has 40k on it.

you can always file a complaint on the nhtsa, if they don't get complaints they wont push for recalls.......If everyone that had this issue would file a complaint they will take notice.
heres the site http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/index.cfm

I made use of the service through this very site but awaiting response for quiet sometime now. I think the number of complainants are not much.
