Default Need some advice...

First off I have an 06 Raider 3.7... I know... but I like it..
The only major thing done is 2.5" true duals from cat back..

I'm looking for an aftermarket front bumper.. preferrably a winch bumper..

I've looked at the Fastman TB's any suggestions? is it worth it...

CAI?? Aftermarket or PVC? OR..... I was considering doing a shaker style hood.. its be simple with the intake however I am concerned about rain/snow...

Chip? I think the JET Performance will work.. should I stage 1 or 2? or different chip?? any programmers available??

Also I am having what sounds like a lifter ticking at start up it goes away after a couple minutes.. I run royal purple and keep up on my PM. Sounds like its coming from drivers side rear.

I know its a lot for my first post, however, I have been reading this forum for months and haven't found much that is directly related to my questions..

Thanks for any info!

Welcome to the forum! Where to start.. Nice cat-back duals. Fastman throttle body, along with a CAI would be very good things.

Intake, PVC or aftermarket is really your choice. You can buy just the K&N filter and create the rest, you will save some money and still have the same filtration properties.

Lifter ticking. You don't have a coil pack loose?

You run RP in the motor? What does that cost per change? Good luck with the rest of your questions.

Thanks for the replys...

This is the plan...

I installed a $20 OCC this week.. I've already had to empty it once... and to my amazement my ticking went away... I do have some pinging right now cause I'm running 93 octane.. for some reason my truck hates it..

I'm ordering a rough country leveling kit with new shocks and 1.5 blocks for the rear.. I am really out of alignment Im hoping that this will help with my alignment.

Ive researched and am ordering a fastman TB hopefully in a few weeks..

I've decided on ABS plastic CAI... what size do I need and any other accessories besides a filter? And what size filter? What about the vent line and the air temp sensor?

Thanks again.. I'll post pics as soon as time allows.

Welcome to the forum poitee!

OCC - oil catch can? Which one did you get? I want to get one, I just dont want to get screwed on an Ebay P.O.S.

And pinging on 93 octane? The higher the octane, the less chance there is for pinging so that doesnt sound right. It doesnt ping on lower octane?

The bored out throttle body does help out alot of the freeway. It opens the motor up a lot in the top end. It will hurt your bottom end torque though. I lost my bottom end with my exhaust, so the throttle body couldnt have made it much worse. I only had one problem with my TB install; I had a vacuum leak that I finally got fixed. I put a new gasket in when I installed it, but there was still a small vacuum leak which caused the engine to idle high once it warmed up. I tried tightening the bolts, replaced both the TPS and IACV, and reset the computer several times. I finally took off the TB, took some motor oil and lubed up the gasket and reinstalled with new bolts because I stripped one of the old ones. Now my idle is perfect along with all my fuel trims. A wierd fix but it worked.

Doesn't ping at all at lower octanes.. Don't know why just always has.

The Royal Purple was around 55$ for everything... I bought everything at the local napa.

I bought a $13 air compressor oil/water seperator at lowes. Its a kobalt. I had to take a zip tie to the drain plug on the bottom to hold it closed exactly the right size. Works very well. I installed mine directly after the PCV valve right after the 90.

I've changed jobs and need more freeway speed now so the TB is probably gonna work out just fine.

Thanks again,

Chad
